NOTES: This plant is most often considered to be anemophilous (wind pollinated). Green ash pollen can be caught in air monitoring devices in large quantities. However, it is a frequently found in honey and is visited by honeybees, butterflies, and various other insects. Some authorities consider its anemophilous habit to be a secondary trait.
